Featuring: The Bootcuts, The Heel Draggers, Slow Motion Cowboys, The Creak

The BootcutsThe Bootcuts  If you asked me a year ago to describe the sound of the Bootcuts, Iíd say go look it up yourself on wikipedia! But now that I have booked this awesome band 4 or 5 times this year alone, including a sold out show this past Summer at the Great American Music Hall, I can now honestly tell you they are one heck of a fun lovin', foot-stompin', honky-tonkin',twang-buster of a band! This classic country 8-piece band (3 female lead singers with 5 guys as the backup band) take their listeners on a journey though time, to way back when, when country music was just called "music".

The Heel DraggersRecapturing a brand of western-swing that called the San Francisco Bay Area home throughout the 40ís and 50ís, The Heel Draggers blend traditional American fiddle music with upbeat and danceable swing rhythms. The bandís three-part instrumental harmonies and energetic performances engage both the most critical musical listener and the drunkest of patrons. The band features steel guitar, fiddle, upright bass, guitar, drums, and showcases the lovely voice of Lady A. New CD album, "Out My Door" out now!

Slow Motion Cowboys (SF)Slow Motion Cowboys (SF)  The Slow Motion Cowboys have been playing up and down the West Coast since 2002. Combining original songwriting with traditional arrangements and harmonies, the band strives to create honest, heartbreaking songs performed with the intensity and skill acquired from years of touring around the country. Part city, part country, part band of brothers with their own way of doing things. In December Slow Motion Cowboys spent a week in Milwaukee living and recording in the home studio of Victor and Malachi DeLorenzo (Violent Femmes, Langhorne Slim) and will release their first full length album Buzzard Songs, this summer. Featuring: Pete Frauenfelder (Trainwreck Riders) on vocals, rhythm guitar, baritone ukulele, Daniel Massie (Trainwreck Riders) on dobro, vocals, harmonica, and a full band of surprises.

The Creak (SF)The Creak (SF)  Formed in summer 2009, this quintet plays acoustic music rooted in the bluegrass and folk tradition, with hints of blues and punk elements sneaking in to give them a sound both new and old. The Creakís energetic performances and visible onstage chemistry inspire dancing, singing, and stomping, leaving audiences feeling elated to have taken part in such fun. Early 2011 saw the release of their debut effort "Hereís To Feeling Good All The Time", a forty minute collection of original tunes.
